Mary Beth Bassett,
Vice President Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs
After receiving a degree in Medical Technology and microbiology, Mary Beth began her career as a blood bank technologist in 1975. In 1988 she became the Director of Quality Assurance/Compliance Officer at the Missouri-Illinois region of the American Red Cross. In 1992 she assumed the role of CEO, national Testing laboratory at the American Red Cross in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1994 she served as acting National Director of Quality Assurance for the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C. Mary Beth also served as the CEO of an independent blood center before accepting the position of Vice President of Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs for Blood Systems in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1996. During her career, Mary Beth has been responsible for manufacturing divisions as well as QA divisions and has served on numerous national committees and has participated as a speaker at multiple seminars and workshops on management controls, quality and GMPs. She currently co-chairs the planning committee for the annual Pharma Conference Annual FDA workshop. She also serves on AABB’s Annual Meeting Program Committee. |
