Patrick Ooley,
Corporate Director Quality Operations
Patrick has a degree in Medical Technology and is ASCP registered. He also attained a Masters Degree in Management and is a certified Quality Auditor by the American Society for Quality. Patrick served as the Director of Quality Source prior to becoming a Corporate Quality Director for Blood Systems. Prior to joining Blood Systems, Patrick was a member of the executive management team at the Indiana Blood Center in Indianapolis Indiana, serving as Chief Compliance Officer. During his 16 years in Indiana, Patrick’s responsibilities include direct oversight of Quality Assurance, Training and Development, Risk Management and the blood center’s regulated Information Technology department.
Patrick is an active participant in the blood banking community and has served as the Chair of AABB’s Donor Center Accreditation Program unit, a member of AABB’s Accreditation Program Committee, is a member of AABB’s Blood Bank and Transfusion Service Standards Committee and the AABB Quality Management Systems committee. He is a past chair of America’s Blood Center Quality Committee. He also served on ABC’s Supplier/Vendor Qualification Committee. Patrick also served on the Risk Management Committee of the Community Blood Centers Exchange (BCx). He is a current AABB assessor and has presented numerous local, state and national presentations on compliance, quality assurance, training, risk management and related topics. |
