Quality
The basic elements of quality, from quality control to quality assurance as applied to the blood banking industry. This includes quality assurance programs and quality system essentials as defined by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB). A well defined and implemented quality program and quality manual is one of the keys to ensuring safe, high quality products and services. Quality also includes applying a variety of tools for problem solving, monitoring quality indicators as well as elements of process control.
